The Battle of Britain Enamel Box
Description
Commemorate one of Britain’s most pivotal wartime victories with this limited-edition enamel box. From 10th July to 31st October 1940, RAF Fighter Command, flying Spitfires and Hurricanes and guided by pioneering radar, defended Britain against relentless Luftwaffe attacks in the first major military campaign fought entirely by air. Nearly 3,000 RAF pilots took part, with around 500 making the ultimate sacrifice. Their extraordinary bravery halted Hitler’s invasion plans and changed the course of the war.
This finely crafted box honours their legacy. The outer lid features a Spitfire above red poppies and the Union Jack, framed by “Battle of Britain – 85 Years.” The sides display a hand-drawn map of key RAF airfields from Groups 10 to 13, alongside colourful geometric borders and a vintage map. Inside, the lid bears a commemorative inscription, and the base is inscribed with Churchill’s iconic words: “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.”
A meaningful collector’s piece and tribute to courage, innovation, and national pride.
A limited edition of 50.
