The Rose Window of Notre-Dame Silk Scarf
Constructed in the 13th century, Notre Dame magnificent stained glass Rose Window allows divine light to pour into the cathedral from above in the form of soft, jewel-like tones. In the centre oculus of the north Rose Window is the image of Mary enthroned holding the Christ Child. Surrounding them are images of kings and prophets of the Old Testament.
On 15 April, 2019 a disastrous fire ravaged the cathedral. Miraculously, the Rose Window remained intact, evoking a beautiful story of resilience and triumph.
